Sunday School

Sunday School is offered Sunday mornings for children from age 3 through 6th grade. Nursery care is available for younger children. Older children are encouraged to participate in Rite 13 and Journey to Adulthood (J2A). Classes usually run from September through the middle of June.

The Sunday School schedule is structured to give children adequate time for classroom instruction as well as participation in the church service. On a typical Sunday, classes are held in the Parish House from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Children then join their families in church for Communion.

Children learn hymns which they sing at the services during special occasions during the year. There are children’s processions during All Saints Day, Palm Sunday and Pentecost services. All children are encouraged to participate in the Christmas Pageant, presented annually at the 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve service.

The Sunday School year ends on Youth Sunday in June, at which time all youth in the parish take part in the service (as ushers, readers, singers, etc.).
