Children at St. Philip’s |
Children have a very special place at St. Philip’s! We invite them to be a part of all of our regular activities. Here are some of the extra special things we have just for our young members. |
Nursery: During our 10 AM service parents are welcome to take their small children to the nursery. This beautiful space on the second floor of the Parish House is staffed by loving parishioners. Church School: During the school year children aged 3 through 5th Grade meet each Sunday at 10 AM throughout the Parish House for fun classes designed to help them learn about God through Bible and crafts. Children rejoin their parents for communion. Family Services: The first Sunday of every month Children attend the regular 10:00 AM service with their parents and participate in the service as Junior Ushers, Junior Altar Guild, readers, etc. These services also feature a special Children’s sermon and music by the Children’s Choir. Junior Choir: Children in Kindergarten through middle school gather after church on Sundays to rehearse and sing during our Family services and special events. Junior Bell Choir: Children in 4-12 Grade practice bells on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 PM and play regularly for our services. Special Events for Children: We regularly hold special events for children and their families including a Halloween Party, Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, and more!
